Super Mario Bros. 3: Kanzen Kōryaku Technique Book 5: Sōshūhen is an illustrated strategy guide from Family Computer: Kanzen Kōryaku Technique Book, published by Tokuma Shoten and edited by Workhouse (ワークハウス). It is the fifth book based on Super Mario Bros. 3, released in 1989.
It was written by Osamu Okamura and, beside reusing some official artwork from Yoichi Kotabe, most of the illustrations in the book are from Yukio Sawada, the manga artist who would go on to create Super Mario-kun a year later.
The book contains a page dedicated to the game premise, followed by a list of Mario's actions and forms, a description of the bosses, various infinite 1-UPs tricks, a walkthrough on how to summon the N-Mark Spade Panel (with various pictures of the combinations) and the Treasure Ship, the newly introduced elements, explanations on some tricks and glitches, and all of the levels' hand-drawn maps, each with a description and screenshots of certain tricks, enemies, and secret areas. Each world's section ends with a page of secrets about the map or special items.
